A secret garden
Casasola de Arión, Castille and León
A cellar, barns and warehouses organized around a courtyard; an architectural complex of great value frozen in time for more than 50 years, which was originally opened to the street through a hallway. The project recovers this space, framing the image of the garden that is incorporated into the architecture as a rigorously composed picture: the abandoned stone ashlars, the water, the vegetation and the changing light on the wall, a visual horizon that cuts in the sky the roof profile of the population. All this builds the order of an inhabited enclosure, protected by existing architecture and filtered by a new lattice that discovers the entrance to this small secret garden.
Una bodega, graneros y almacenes organizados en torno a un patio; un conjunto arquitectónico de gran valor congelado en el tiempo durante más de 50 años, que se abría originalmente a la calle a través de un zaguán. El proyecto recupera este espacio, enmarcando la imagen del jardín que se incorpora a la arquitectura como un cuadro rigurosamente compuesto: los sillares de piedra abandonados, el agua, la vegetación y la luz cambiante sobre la tapia, horizonte visual que recorta en el cielo el perfil de los tejados de la población. Todo ello construye el orden de un recinto habitado, protegido por la arquitectura existente y filtrado por una nueva celosía que descubre la entrada a este pequeño jardín secreto.
