Peter Pichler Architecture designs luxury “Tree Suites” as part of a new 7-star Hotel development in Austria. The project consists of 60m2 - 80m2 suites that elevate in the nearby forest of the Hotel. The project takes inspiration from local vernacular architecture while reinterpreting it in a contemporary way.
A wooden exoskeleton structure enwraps the entire building and is made of two layers: a diagrid structure and a second layer made of intersecting wood sticks to filter the light and create privacy. The use of wood echoes a local and sustainable material giving a warm feeling within the spaces and the entire structure.
Peter Pichler Architecture progetta delle “Tree Suites” di lusso come parte di un nuovo hotel a 7 stelle vicino a Kitzbühel, in Austria. Le suites si differenziano per dimensioni, misurano da 60m2 a 80m2 e si elevano nella vicina foresta dell’hotel.
Il progetto si ispira all’architettura vernacolare locale reinterpretandola in chiave contemporanea.
L’esoscheletro in legno che avvolge l’intero edificio è composto da due strati: una struttura di travi diagonali in legno e un altro fatto di listelli di legno che si intersecano per filtrare la luce e creare un ambiente più intimo.
