The actual realization of a project gives materiality to the original idea. The real challenge is to preserve the essence of that idea during the entire process, from the first sketch to the detailed constructive drawings and finally during the construction on site. A two-storey box hosts the new AMAA branch office inside a former vaulted factory. Everything appears for what it is: the thin steel frame structure, the concrete and metal slab, the path of the electrical system with its pipes, plugs and switches, the metal frame of the windows.
Il momento della costruzione ne dà infine matericità. La vera sfida sta nel preservare l’essenza dell’Idea durante tutto il processo, dai primi schizzi su carta ai disegni esecutivi finanche al momento finale della realizzazione dell’opera. Il risultato è una struttura scatolare a due livelli che ospita il nuovo studio AMAA all’interno di un edificio ex industriale con copertura voltata. Tutto appare per ciò che è: l’esile struttura a telaio in acciaio, i solai in cemento e lamiera grecata, il percorso degli impianti, le tubazioni elettriche con prese e pulsanti, il sottile telaio metallico dei serramenti vetrati.
